How to Deactivate a Facebook Account
Deactivating your Facebook account temporarily hides your profile, posts, and content while keeping your data intact for future reactivation. Follow these steps to deactivate your account:

On Desktop:
- Log in to Your Facebook Account:
Open www.facebook.com and sign in with your credentials. - Access Settings & Privacy:
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, then select Settings & Privacy > Settings. - Go to Account Settings:
In the left panel, select Your Facebook Information. - Select Deactivation and Deletion:
Click Deactivation and Deletion, then choose Deactivate Account. - Follow the On-Screen Instructions:
Click Continue to Account Deactivation and follow the prompts to confirm.
On Mobile (Facebook App):
- Open the Facebook App:
Launch the Facebook app and log in. - Go to Settings:
Tap the Menu (three horizontal lines) icon and select Settings & Privacy > Settings. - Navigate to Your Information:
Scroll down and select Access and Control. - Select Deactivation and Deletion:
Choose Deactivate Account and follow the instructions to confirm.
Deactivating your Facebook account allows you to take a break from the platform without permanently deleting your data.
